*Update*

It's so nice to be home. I'm exhausted! I've been up since 7 and gone and running around pretty much since 10am and just got home and it's already 8:30! Ahhh...(deep breath out)

So today was our IFSP (Individualized Family Support Plan) meeting with First Steps. We went through, for about 2 hours, and made a plan for goals and hopeful outcomes for my daughter. We are getting a Developmental Therapist and Speech Pathologist to come to our house once a week for an hour each, starting in a couple weeks. I cannot wait to start and see if we get any results. They are going to work on safety awareness, communication, all her sensory issues, her food issues and her affection issue. Hopefully we can get her to stop climbing on anything that will stand still (i.e. counter tops, tables, chairs, bookshelves, beds, stools, etc.), say more words so that she doesn't get so frustrated and throw fits, stop banging her head against things, stop overfilling her mouth with food until she almost chokes, get her to actually pretend like she likes us by giving hugs and playing with others and somehow get her to a point where she actually feels pain normally. Can you imagine if she never feels pain correctly? What good will spankings do? lol Just kidding! So anyway, there's a lot to work on in the two hours each week that they are here. I will keep you all updated on what is happening and you will probably "hear" me venting when things get rough and when things aren't going the way I want them to. lol

I can't wait for things to start rollin so that we all can start to have normal days without so many tantrums and melt downs. Also being able to go to the store without people thinking I'm kidnapping her would be wonderful! I really want her to feel safe, happy and content and I don't feel like she is. Maybe one of these days I'll be able to post a video of her saying more words or even...(gasp) a sentence or two! But of course then I'll be wishing I never taught her to talk because she'll be like any other little girl with a mouth too big for her and attitude to match some teenager when she's only 4! lol So then I'll just be posting a video of my hair loss and pics of the padded room that I will then be calling home.

I hope everyone had a great day and I'm sorry that I'm really just too tired to comment on all your pages but I promise I will tomorrow! Have a great night everyone! Sweet dreams...night!

LOL,I just emailed you.. I should've checked here first -- I'm behind on checking everyone's blogs.. haha... But i'm SO glad that she's going to start getting services! Is a Developmental Therapist the same thing as an Occupational Therapist? That's what Peyton has, along with a D.I. (Which I think stands for Developmental Instructor? Maybe the same thing Aby is getting, but the D.I. is supposed to be coming to the school). anyway, yay! I hope this helps a TON!!!! ((Hugs))
