Our Christmas!

Our Christmas day was wonderful! I hope yours was too! The kids were of course up at 6:30 so our day started E A R L Y !!! (I'm *not* a morning person!) So we got up and started opening all of the presents. The kids were pumped! They ran into my room screaming, "SANTA CAME!!! SANTA CAME!!!" They loved all their presents and especially loved to see that Santa ate all of his cookies, drank all of his milk and the carrots that we left for Santa's reindeer were gone except for a couple gnawed ones on the porch; those messy reindeer! lol

After they finished opening all of their presents we headed off to my parent's house. We had a wonderful breakfast and then opened presents there. Then came the present; a DS game. But opps...my daughter was soooooooooo disappointed because Santa didn't give her a DS! She looked at my mom and said, "Nana, Santa didn't give me a DS. But I'm going to save my money to get one so I'll keep this game until I get it." Ahhh....how sweet! Poor thing! They tortured her for about an hour. Everyone opened their gifts and then they finally *found* one more present under the tree for her that they "didn't see". While she was still a little bummed out that she didn't get the only thing she asked for and her brother had received a Leapster (which is kind of like a DS) she went ahead and opened her last gift. What was it you ask? Well it was a Nintendo DS! My parents got it for her! She was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited!!! She jumped up and gave my parents the biggest hugs ever! It was so awesome to see her so incredibly happy! It totally made my Christmas!

They also loved all the books that Santa left them. Ya know the ones that I won off the momdot contest? They were a hit! My son loves the Dr. Frankenstein one because it's a "Dr. book" so he can learn how to become a doctor! lol They were a great gift! Thanks Tricia!!! Santa was even kind enough to take pictures of all the gifts before he left! lol

I also received some gifts. I got a new purse that I was eyeing a couple months ago from Kohl's and let me tell you, I haven't had a purse that costs more than $20 in....oh probably 10 years so this one is AWESOME!!! I also got a new wallet, a Budweiser hat, hoodie and pair of shorts, a really soft new robe, a pair of really awesome tennis shoes that I wanted and some odds and in things. Oh and my husband bought me a pair of gold earrings. (Thank God it wasn't another watch!) The only bad thing is that A) I don't wear gold and B) I don't really wear earrings except for the small silver hoops that I've had in for about 15 years. And we're weren't even supposed to buy each other anything so I felt terrible that he got me something and I didn't have squat for him. It was very sweet though and it had the most beautiful card with it; he always buys the best cards. The kids gave the hubs and I things they made at school. Our son gave us a tile with his hand print on it with a poem on the back and our daughter gave us a beautiful ornament with her picture on it. They're great keepsakes!

So we did all of our regular Christmas traditions and had a great time! Here are some photos to show you how much fun the kids had. My son hates getting his picture taken so there are only a couple of him and there aren't any of us though, opps!
