A little girl's Christmas wish

My daughter's card:My son's card:Everyone, get ready! Get set...GO! Go get out your paper and art supplies and start making some Christmas cards! Kadi over at A Womb at the Inn (Sane) got an email asking for people to make and send cards and/or mail to a little girl in Ohio. The little girl, Alexis, has Cerebral Palsy and the only thing she asked Santa for was mail. She has a PO Box address for the cards and/or mail so go on over to Kadi's blog and get the address so you can send her a couple.

Immediately after I read this on Kadi's blog I went and got out our art supplies and sat the kids down and explained to them what they were going to do and why. They were both very excited about it. I'm posting the pics of the cards (above) that they made (with my help) for Alexis. I also called up my dear friend who is a teacher and asked her if she would want to do this too. She said that she might do it (the kids in her class are really young; ages 3-5) and if she does she will get the address from me. I am also going to email my daughter's teacher and tell her about it. Hopefully she can get the whole school involved in this. How awesome would it be for this little girl to get 1,000 or more cards or letters? I really hope this makes her holiday season wonderful!

So let your kids make some, let them write her a little personal letter on the inside and send it. It's a great season to teach kids about giving unto others, even if it's just a card. So spread the word and help make this little girls Christmas wish a reality.
