Christmas help for special family

Today I got an email from a dear friend of mine, Amanda. She is in need of some help for Christmas. She lost her job a couple months ago and she has two young children (4 and 9 years old) and NO money to buy gifts. She is behind on her bills and in the process of loosing her car. I am asking for help for her.

So far I have contacted people in her state (Maryland) asking about how to get donated gifts for her kids. I have yet to hear back from them. Also many of you know that I recently won an Amazon gift card through a momdot contest, I am going to use that gift card to purchase gifts for her kids. I am also going to send her daughter (9) a scrapbook from my company, Apple's Treasures. Along with that I am making some CDs that I think the kids will like and some Christmas ornaments.

I called my mom and she said she would help out too. She is a great shopper and is going to go through some gifts that she bought last year on sale to send to her. She is also going to put some money in the paypal account that I set up for my friend. If any of you want to donate money please click on the link and donate whatever you can or want to. I know that times are tough for everyone right now. But if we all pull together then we can make 2 children's Christmas a great one that they might not have otherwise. Plus while we're doing that we can start our new year off with good karma!
