Happy 8th Birthday!

Today is my oldest daughter's 8th birthday! I can't believe it's been 8 years since the first day I held her! She was a beautiful baby and is now a beautiful little lady. My husband and I were only married 4 short months when we found out I was preggers. 9 long months later we went to the hospital and after 19 long hours of labor we met our baby girl. The doctor delivered her head, shoulders and arms and then told me to reach down and finish delivering her. I reached down grabbed her under her arms and pulled her out and layed her on my belly. It was just completely amazing! She weighed 7lbs 2 oz and was just breath taking.

Today I'll be thinking back on what that day was like, what the labor was like, how excited we were and how much of a blessing it is to have her in our lives. She was a bit of a surprise but one that we are surely grateful for.
