Ok I never understood all the hoopla over Twilight! 'What's the big deal? It's a vampire movie people! Didn't we get that with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise?! Yeah, thought so!' Well that was all until last night. A friend of mine begged me, errr...invited me, to go see Twilight and seeing as how I have three kids, no sitter, no life and NEVER get a night off I decided to go even though I wasn't all that thrilled about seeing this movie. 'Oh well, can't be THAT bad', I thought. And she said the guy was "HOT"! 'Hmm...a pale guy who looks like he's wearing lipstick and drinks blood. Yeah, not so much!' HA! That's what I thought! I watched the movie and about 20 minutes into it I was completely in love...with a vampire! lol So now I am a complete crazed, lunatic who is so in love with this movie AND the pale guy, who looks like he's wearing lipstick and sucks blood! No joke! Not only was the guy HOT but the story was great! The only thing that totally sucked was I kept waiting for him to sweep her into his arms and either A) bite her so that she would become like him so they could spend the rest of eternity together or B) carry her away to make some great, long, meaningful love together. And NO, I didn't want it to be a porn I just wanted to know that he was sooooo in love that he couldn't help himself and they live happily ever after!
I cannot wait until the next one comes out in 2010! I'm gonna HAVE to get the books! I'm not usually one for these kinds of movies; ya know the ones that are unrealistic with vampires and monsters and such, but this one totally got me! I desperately need to find an excuse and another $20 to go see it again. I would LOVE to go back this weekend!
If you haven't seen this movie already please take my advice and go see it! You'll want to go back for more, believe me! Why oh why do these gorgeous guys have to be so out of reach? Why oh why can't I be famous so that I could stand 1/2 a chance with one of them? (sigh) Oh well...guess I'll have to buy my hubs a vampire costume next Halloween! lol

OHHHH...I'm so jealous! I really want to get all three of the books!
I bought the first and second book of the series for my hubby's little sister. I have been keeping away from the series because 1) I'm not really into vampire books, 2) it has made my best friend and her mother lose their minds over it, and 3) I guess I may be just trying to avoid getting swept up in it like the rest of the world is. If I was to get caught up in it, I would definitely read the books before seeing the movie since book to movie translations tend to cut out a lot of the intricate details.
