Skin experiment for Eczema
Just an FYI to everyone. My son has really bad eczema and we are trying to find a way to make him a little more comfortable. So my son's allergist has recommended that we do a skin experiment with him. The skin experiment will be that we will have to let my son soak in a warm tub of water for 15 minutes. While he is in the tub we have to put some long sleeved jammies in a sink of hot water. When he gets out we are supposed to ring out the water, pat dry my son's body, grease him up from face to toes with Vaseline, put the wet jammies back on him and then put a pair of sweat pants and sweat shirt over the jammies. If he gets cold then we can cover him up with a blanket. He is supposed to keep the jammies on and soak up the Vaseline for about an hour and then dress him normally. We are supposed to do this once or twice a week for a month and see how his skin reacts. This will be a "fun" experiment! lol Check back on Monday evening to see how day #1 went! Wish us luck!

Yikes, that sounds like a messy experiment. I've always suffered from eczema but it's contained to my hands and feet, I can't image all over. I hope it works out for him!
Yes, it's going to be messy but we have to try! I've suffered from eczema my whole life too but mine isn't as bad as my son's.
I'll let you know how it goes on Monday night!
