This is something I dream about constantly...my dream house. Ohhh to have the house of my dreams would be amazing! I have three kids and we live in a smaller house so to have more space would be great. I am sick of tripping over toys, books, little toy soldiers, dolls and whatnots. And if I step on one more little plastic play ring I'm going to loose my mind. Those things freaking hurt!!! I need more space!!! I do have one room in the house which is off limits to the kids and is completely MINE and I love it! It's my sanctuary. I have a desk, my computer, a table for my scrapbooking, a CD player and a closet to hold all my extra crap! It's great! But I want a bigger house so that I have MORE space for all of our stuff. I'm sick of my junk drawer that's so full that you can't close it, I'm sick of the lack of closet space for my kids and I, I'm sick of feeling like a sardine in my house. So what is my dream house you ask? Well I'll tell ya.
My dream house is big, white, old plantation house with a wrap around porch partially screened so I can enjoy the thunderstorms without getting wet. A nice big kitchen with beautiful cherry wood cabinets, plenty of space for all my cookbooks, cooking things and food. Of course with plenty of space for the kids to cook and bake with me without arguing about who is invading the other's cooking space. A house with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, a 2 car garage and fenced in backyard. Lots of old oak trees for lots of shady places to read and picnic. A monstrous master bathroom with a big tub for me and two sinks so that I don't have to share with my messy husband. An upstairs laundry room with plenty of shelves and drawers for all the extras. A dining room for holiday meals with family and friends. And best of all...NO NEIGHBORS to wake me up in the middle of the night with their booming music and parties. If you really want to see the house I'm talking/dreaming about click here. It's the Rosswood Plantation in Lormon, Mississippi. We stayed there about 18 years ago and I fell in love with the place. Someday I hope to retire and build the house of my dreams or buy and redo an old plantation home. Although, it doesn't have to be that big. I would pretty much go for any house that has more than 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a big kitchen! Ahhh...maybe someday!
